I'll try to dash off some ISA product release news. Bunch of that. Floor space of ISA Expo was supposed to be about the same as last year. Attendance was not bad on the first day. News of ISA name changed was greeted by a yawn by everyone I talked with. But names are significant, and the name change reflects the new direction of ISA as the lobbying agent for the "automation profession." Have a full day of meetings today, followed by three receptions, followed by dinner. Great to see fellow blogger and twitterer Jim Cahill from Emerson Process. Chatted with Dick Morley, father of the PLC, at the Schneider booth -- a rather last minute addition to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the PLC. Had a nice frozen margarita in celebration. Also had a tour of enhanced EDDL with fellow blogger Greg McMillan. Most booths were instrumentation. Networking, communications, and of course wireless were prominent.

Recorded a podcast reflecting on trips to Emerson Global Users Exchange and WonderWorld. Through in some thoughts about (ongoing?) changes at Rockwell.
