EJB has a rebirth with EJB 3.0. Now everybody talks about EJB again. There were 5 talks on EJB 3.0 in TheServerSide Java symposium held in Las Vegas last week. I wrote an article Simplifying EJB Development with EJB 3.0 that was published by OTN last week. In this article, I will explain how EJB 3.0, simplifies the programming model for EJB and defines a simple API for persistence.

Also you do not have to wait another year to experience how EJB 3.0 is simplifying developers' life. You can write and deploy your EJB 3.0 applications today with Oracle Application Server EJB 3.0 Preview. With this preview release, Oracle becomes the first major vendor ahead of BEA and IBM to provide a comprehensive implementation of EJB 3.0 Early Release Draft2 specification. The persistence engine of Oracle's EJB 3.0 implementation is based on Oracle TopLink and you will automatically get the same performance and scalability features TopLik has. So give it a spin and send us feedback.
