Fed up with life in the UK we moved to France for a new start. Left behind the private schooling, traffic jams and housing estates for a better quality of life. We now live in Brittany, France running gites (holiday cottages).

Started back working on the gite on Monday taping and jointing the plasterboard walls and ceilings upstairs in the gite. The corridor and two bedrooms have both had thier first coats and the third bedroom is next.
It's a bit of a tedious long winded job but once finished the walls and ceilings will be ready for painting. Slow but steady progress at the moment.

These are our experiences of running a gite business in Brittany, France. A gite is the French equivalent of a country holiday cottage. French culture, language, taxes and bureaucracy.
