Strange Politics [posted by Troy] Such a strange election these days. They are saying that the country is SO polarized that Kerry won't get much of a bounce from the Democratic National Convention. Our parties don't seem to have any middle ground between them, which is interesting for a President who claimed that he could bring people together. That's tough to do when you skip things like the NAACP convention. But here in Illinois, we are pretty clear where we stand, since our state is more Democrat than ever.

Copyright is over, Free At Last...in the UK [posted by ZelerBar] In the UK, they don't allow Disney to continue to pay the government to extend copyright laws. Therefore, Elvis' songs are about enter the public domain in the UK. You see, the public domain is nice, because then society can share in the benefits of art and intellectual property. Since Elvis is still dead, he won't mind.
