Nov 26 - After two weeks of news designed to 'scare off', vitamin E takers, there's finally the good news vitamin E deserves - when a new study revealed that the powerful antioxidant helps many diabetics avoid heart disease.
The newly released study, published in the November issue of Diabetes Care, showed that 40 percent of diabetics might benefit from taking 400 IU of vitamin E daily. The new study, conducted by researchers at the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel, identified a group of diabetics who have abnormally low levels of antioxidants, along with abnormally high levels of dangerous oxygen free radicals. |
