Discrimination against Overweight/Obesity

Overweight people are discriminates against, and many people are questioning if this is "fair." One rock bank stormed off stage when someone called them "fat."  I say it IS fair, and here's why:

People can't control what color skin they were born with, what sex they are or what ethnic background their relatives had. But people CAN control their weight. Overweight and obesity are within our power to change, and being fat is not only unhealthy, it costs the whole of society millions of dollars because of the health-hazards. And yes, it is "our fault," unlike skin color.

My thought? If you don't like being fat, then lose weight. But don't be upset about "discrimination" for a correctable flaw (and yes, overweight is a flaw and a health-risk).

That's how it looks from here.
