Not many postings in the last days, a light food poisening (a French
restaurant[base ']s weekend brunch buffet was probably the culprit) plus some
work-related activities kept me from writing much. Just got back from a
one-day trip to Ningbo. It was actually the first time I went there,
although it[base ']s close to Shanghai (30 minute flight). On the way to the
airport I was checking my RSS reader (and some sites that did still do
not have RSS installed), when I saw (fellow Dutchman in China) Jeroen
Berghuis posting about his trip to Ningbo last weekend
(posting from 06/06, no possibility to link directly to it). Also for
him it was the first time to go there. He did not enjoy it too much it
seems. And me? I don[base ']t really know, I visited a factory outside the
city and then had a lunch in the NanYuan hotel (free wifi in lobby),
followed by a whole afternoon of meetings in a hotel suite. So I did
not see much of the city, except for the view from the suite. The view
from the plane while approaching Ningbo was beautiful though, green
mountains with rice fields and deep valleys with small villages in it.
Therefore I hope to get back there soon, and spend a bit more time
exploring the city and its surroundings
