An Open Letter to the Head Apple
A picture named apple-osx-audio.jpg

Paul D. Lehrman has written an interesting piece entitled An Open Letter to the Head Apple in which he describes himself as someone who loves the computers and other products that Apple creates yet has some (valid) concerns and uses his pulpit to express his concerns.

I personally think it's really important that these types of things get out there. It's all too easy to simply fall in love the products without realizing what kind of company that it really takes to conceive and bring these amazing products to life. There truly is a reason why Apple is so unique in what they are able to accomplish and the fact is, many of those reasons are quite unpleasant facts of life at Apple. Don't get me wrong, I still thing that having the opportunity to work at Apple would currently be a dream job for nearly anyone who is passionate about great technology. The fear of course is once you get inside, you see that beyond the glossy veneer, you realize that it is just another computer with its own unique set of issues. For many of us, Apple is one of the few great myths of modern business and their famous shroud of secrecy only adds to that myth. At the same time, that same secrecy is one of their absolute biggest detriments to growing the business in certain market segments.

A fairly new voice in the Mac blog community but one that is making waves none the less is the Apple Peels blog by David Sabotta, a former long time Apple employee and still devote fan of it's products has recently shed some great insights into Apple. Hardly positive, but its something that many in the Mac community could really benefit from readying.
