Tiger and 6630!

Goddamn.

What is it between Apple and Nokia.

My previous posts about Lifeblog had rants about Nokia having NO software for MACS ...
Now I believe ( from reading the blogosphere ) that TIGER doesn't support iSync with the Nokia 6630. Fuckin Hell. I was under the impression that this would be sorted in Tiger. ( my Tiger arrives tomorrow, so then I'll know for certain ). iSync seems to support a load of other symbian phones such as 6600 and 6620.....so what's up with the 6630?

So - its 2005 and I have a state of the Art 3G phone and a State of the Art powerbook with ( soon ) the supposedly most advanced OS ( tiger ) and I can't sync my laptop addressbook and calendar with my phone's - something i could do 6 year ago with my crap old windows machine. Sigh. 2 steps forward, 3 steps back.

Maybe Leopard or Cheetah or Pussy or whatever is next will work. Or Will i just go ahead and get a Sony Ericsson. Sigh.

UPDATE: got Tiger and no, it doesn't work :-(

New Mobile Video content service This new thing is quite interesting MobuzzTV. I will watch it for a while on my Nokia 6630 and report back. it is the sort of programming that we at Wildwave like creating for the mobile audience - short, snappy and informative - however unlike us - it looks at first viewing a little stilted - we like it more casual and irreverant and less like regular TV. Anyway - more anon.

Apple and Video iPod Just had a play around with the new Apple iTunes 4.8.
It now handles video!!
I bought the Thievery Corporation new single+video combo from the iTunes store to test it out. Very Slick. It downloads both and then plays the video in the little box that normally holds artwork - and can be quickly flicked to fullscreen very easily. Nice work.
I then tested it with a .mov of Rocketboom that I had downloaded via RSS and iPodderX. It worked very well. Now I just need iPodderX to copy video to iTunes automagically in the same way it does with Podcasts. and then like with podcasts I can have a playlist of all my unwatched video - a personalised TV channel if you will. Now - how easy would this be if i could just sync with iPod and watch the video content!!!!!

This iTunes video is Sooooo well thought out, that I have Nooooo doubt that  a video iPod is just around the corner. deffo. deffo. deffo. and i predict  it will happened by next christmas...hmmmm  .....that Steve Jobs is a crafty fecker.....
