Paparazzo Gets FLICKRed!!
If the MassMedia is coming to end, what about the endless
celeb-watching appetite of the Media? Will this also decline and
will this lead to a decline in
paparazzi or will they be made redundant anyway, by everyone having
camera-cellphones? Will we all become the new paparazzi? or will we not
give a shit because we will be able to connect directly with the
personal lives of new tech savvy celebs - with their own podcasts and
Flickr Streams......... I just listened to a podcast by Danny Boyle ( director of Trainspotting and The Beach etc) - i got it in my ipodder via the cinemaminima.com podcast feed ...it was really good - just him talking about his experiences of the US Film Industry - perfect use of a podcast by a celeb. We will see more of this, I think. I also saw that Adam Curry was being stalked by a paparazzo and he just took a picture of him right back and Flickred it. WoW ! that is cool.... watch out for more of this stuff...... and here is the picture Adam took 8:40:09 PM |

More musings on the future of TV
![]() Brandnoise has an interesing posting on the future of TV and the end of the mass market. I like the bit where he talks about channels becoming fluid. This is something that I have believed for sometime - people can segue between all their channels quiet comfortably - whether it be TV, Mobile, Internet, podCasts, DVD - but BIG media still thinks in a linear sense. TV companies still make shows for TV, with some token nods to Internet and some bullshit PR about mobile. I think that shows have to become "entertainment experiences" which the audience can "touch" through their many channels, when and where it suits them to do so. And the "experience" should be authentic to the channel - so a phone segment should be sensitive to small screen, on-the-go consuming and 'challenged" attention span - a TV segment can be more immersive: think plasmas, high quality sound and HD, an internet segment can be more interactive and info drive - lots of text, pictures, flash, links ...and so on and on obviously this will take new types of content creation companies that inherently understand all these channels... 7:56:48 PM |
