More Nokia 6630 fun
Got a new app for my Nokia 6630 3G phone. LifeBlog.
Basically it allows you to post Pictures & text to a blog or sync it with the Software on the PC. The app officially supports Typepad blogs- but the nice people at Flickr have added functionality to allow you to post pics - see here http://www.flickr.com/tools/lifeblog.

It's a very nice app , gives you a graphical timeline of all your text messages and pictures, which you can peruse and post as you see fit. It also provides food for thought for different ways of viewing the content on our phones.

There is also a good blog by some of the developers here.

I haven't been able to try out the PC sync sofware, because guess what? There is no Mac client! - This day and age! Come On - it's not book-keeping software - it's blog related software - I am willing to bet that the blogger population has a much higher percentage of macs than the general populous ( of 5% or whatever it is ) - therefore there really should be a mac client - this leaving out the MAC shit doesn't fly any more !
What's with Nokia anyway - none of their software supports Mac, as far as I can see. My Nokia 6630 has a CD with all sorts of sync software - but for windows only - no mention of Apple.  I have to wait for Tiger and iSync to catch up with this....Come on Nokia - pay for the development of some Mac clients - it would cost you the same price as those lame multimedia shows on the CDs !....and throw in a Linux port while you are at it....... you must know by now that Cell phones and Computers MUST work together.....even the LifeBlog Blog guys agree - just read their posts about how the have macs themselves.... Charlie over there at lifeblog tells me that they are pondering some ideas of how to port to mac - so i wish him best of luck - but the nokia suits should hire him 4 extra developers and buy a few G5s and Powerbooks and let them get on with it....

anyway - back to LifeBlog - i recommend u try it out.....
