Flickr Acquired! WOW-that was quick.


Yahoo has just acquired FLICKR - the best photo service on the web. WOW - that was really quick - they have only just got going! There is deffo a mini BOOM in the air..... I hope Yahoo! don't screw around with it too much - it was an excellent service that was adding features all the time. It even impressed Dave Winer -which is not easy :-)

I hope the guys in Flickr made a few quid - they deserve it.

Its also interesting that the rumour is confirmed on the Flickr Blog and not via Press Release. hmmmmm - I wonder is this the way of the future?

anyway - i'm off to set up a few of those social networking site ideas that I have ;-)
