more on Nokia Lifeblog

been using the Nokia Lifeblog software on 6630 ....
I like it a lot -- a quick phone pic and then posted to web in mins - (not sure i like the term moBlog but it will have to do for now) - the flickr integration is excellent...
...it also supports typepad - maybe nokia should add some more blog integration to it .. blogger etc... and maybe nokia should set up its own blog service - lifeblogger.com ?? and support video ( 3gp ) posts? why not? or just go and buy weblogs.com. and maybe some Mac Os X software - or is that going too far?- I know nobody in Nokia has ever heard of Apple Macs;-) except for the good men of the lifeblog dev team....... oh ...and one more thing .... bluetooth sharing - like apple's rendevous would be awesome...opps i forgot, you don't have macs .....

Ride the Wildwave!

Bob Luff, the chief technology officer at Nielsen......"radio is going on the Web, TV is going on cellphones, the Web is going on TV and everything, it seems, is moving to video-on-demand (V.O.D.) and (quite possibly) the iPod and the PlayStation Portable". ''Television and media,'' Luff said .......''will change more in the next 3 or 5 years than it's changed in the past 50.''

Mainstream Media Meltdown....

Everyday, there are more signs that Mainstream Media is under pressure.... Chris Andersen of long tail fame has some interesting trends:

Music: sales last year were down 21% from their peak in 1999
Television: network TV's audience share has fallen by a third since 1985
Radio: listenership is at a 27-year low
Newspapers: circulation peaked in 1987, and the decline is accelerating
Magazines: total circulation peaked in 2000 and is now back to 1994 levels (but a few premier titles are bucking the trend!)
Books: sales growth is lagging the economy as whole

RocketBOOM rocks !

daily web TV.
Rocketboom is daily a VideoLog or VLog.
The host is Amanda Congdon and the show is like a daily spoof news show ( kinda jon stewart with internet gossip ) and occasional outside broadcasts of what seems to be random topics .... this one takes a humourous walk down New York's canal street to see what knockoffs are around... this one from last week looks at breakdancing for the pope and paris hilton!
Rocketboom! - compulsive daily viewing :-) - now I just need to get this cellcasted to my Nokia 6630 phone.........hmmm
