Book Reviews from 'Get Your Paws on a Good Book' participants Aug 17

Disorderly Knights by Dorothy Dunnett: This is the third book of 6 following France's Crawford of Lymond through the historical battles of Matta and Tripoli. It fleshes out this fictional character (and his background) in his personal battle against Gabriel the adversary clocked in his Godlike 'goodness'! They both return to Scotland for what seems to be a not so final confrontation that will continue in the next book...

Assassins by Tim LaHaye: Riveting.

What Goes Around by Parry Brown: This book was touching. I felt anger, happiness, sadness, remorseful, and surprised all at once. I loved it. I'll be reading more books by this author.

Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner: Everything about this book I liked. I feel in love with all the characters. This was her first novel and I was impressed.

Book Reviews from 'Get Your Paws on a Good Book' participants Aug 16

Summer's Child by Luanne Rice: Wonderfully poignant story about family and love.

The Rapture by Tim LaHaye: This is the end of the 3 prequels to Left Behind. This book gives an amazing account of what happens to the people who are raptured and in heaven, and how the people who are left behind are reacting right before it happens. I enjoyed the whole series.

Acceleration by Graham McNamee: Excellent book. Great suspense. It's one of those 'can't put it down' books.

Lovers and Players by Jackie Collins: Great view of the fast lane.

Book Reviews from 'Get Your Paws on a Good Book' participants Aug 15

Study in Scarlet/The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle: I've been visiting libraries for sixty years! Never have read an A. C. Doyle before. Sorry now I've neglected to do so. Usually read English authors and enjoy them all. Also read much of English history. Never have i been bored.

Kate Hannigan's Girl by Catherine Coulter: Years ago I read many of this author's books. Each was enjoyable. I knew she had passed away some years ago. Was very surprised to run across this book. I am pleased to have found it. Enjoyed every page.

Two Little Girls in Blue by Mary Higgins Clark: Great book, fast read.

Ireland: A Novel by Frank Delaney: Sad, funny, interesting and a story that tells the history of legends of Ireland. I've read other histories of Ireland relating to the subject. A walking, talking history of the tragedy of the Irish.

Dancing in the Dark by Mary Jane Clark: Keeps you guessing on who the criminal is. Moves right along, a good summer read.

Sullivan's Sting by Lawrence Sanders: Great Book

The Pirate's Son by Geraldine McCaughrean: Absolutely loved it.

Voice on the Radio by Caroline Cooney: This is the third book in the series. Jamie's boyfriend goes off to college while she finishes high school. He gets a job on the radio, is in a band and cannot come up with anything to talk about on his talk show slot, so he talks about Jamie's kidnapping. Then all kinds of dilemmas arise.
