Learn From History!!!

China killed hundreds of students in the Tiananmen Square Massacre. Our Hong Kong leaders tell us to please "put things in perspective". Since that time China's economy has grown dramatically, raising millions out of poverty. This, according to our leaders, somehow justifies the events of 1989. By what logic are they connected? How does mowing down innocent students promote stability and prosperity? Who can say that listening to the students, whose complaints were mostly related to corruption, would have lead to instability? The assumptions in this line of logic are twisted and flimsey. No one knows what the future would have been like, had the government acted humanely. This weak "the ends justifies the means" argument is illogical and immoral.

Street Evangelism in Mong Kok

While I was in the US last month (May 2005) our young people (Missionaries in training) went to the streets of MongKok to talk about Jesus. In this section of town the streets are closed to automobiles to allow more room for the thousands of pedestrians who come here every afternoon. The police have allotted one area of the pedestrian mall to the churches in the area, for use in outreach! Please pray for our young people, asking God to make them strong and bold witnesses. Pray for our leaders who are working hard to cultivate a bold mission's heart in them. Thanks for praying!A picture named street evan-3.jpgA picture named street evan-2.jpgA picture named Street evan-1.jpg
