English Adventure 2005 A short-term team from New York City spent the last two weeks helping our churches here in Hong Kong run English programs. During the last week they ran an English adventure program. In an English adventure program we match local students with members from the overseas short-term mission team and send them out into the city to complete "adventures". This year's program was a great improvement over last year's. As the teams go out in complete the adventures they have plenty of time to become friends, and the Christians among them have ample opportunity to share their faith.The pastors who planned and ran the program really took to heart the advice I gave them after we ran this program for the first time in 2004. All of the short-comings of last year's Adventure were fixed! They planned for follow-up and even connected with the parents of the involved students. The program ended with a parent's night which allowed the church is to build a bridge to the entire family and not just with the young people.
