I had an epiphany this week...I am sick to death of taking tests. Not just the Praxis teaching accreditation tests (of which I have five to take this summer), but any test. Thankfully, I've only got two more courses to go to get my Masters in statistics and then I will be done with tests (hopefully forever). Every time I take a test over the past year I keep thinking "I'm 40 years old for cripes sake, and I'm losing count of the letters after my name listing my credentials...how many more tests do I have to take before I'm considered qualified for a reasonably paying, satisfying, portable job with good benefits?". (by "portable" I mean a job that would allow us to move pretty much anywhere in North America should the need arise...by "satisfying" I mean a job that allows me a lot of human interaction combined with intellectual stimulation).
Other than plowing my way through 5 tests, my summer is going great. I'll be glad when the Praxis tests are behind me though. If nothing else because I have to take them at 7:30 am on Saturdays (bleah).
