State of Inertia

Looks like Gene has extended his hiatus into a third week leaving me nothing to post on except this radioactive trash. Glug, glug, glug! What the fuck is wrong with this country? Neverming, it's a rhetorical question.

Our now successfully redivided government has already reached a serious impasse over Iraq. Sadly, the democrats really daren't touch it yet. The reason is that the situation is far worse than anyone outside the government can possibly imagine, and now that the new congress is seated, they've been throughly briefed, and probably frightened out of their briefs, if not their portfolios. Some of them, anyhow.

Not that that would matter much to your average crop of new mown fat cats but most of these promised to get us out of there, not send in 20,000 more troops. Chivvyed by some lousy speech.  Arrah! How soon these rookies learn the trappings of taxpayer funded celebrity and power and locate the levers of the thing is time being bought with the precious blood of our troops.  Kobe beef, Senator Cattle? Mu.Not that that would matter either, to the usual necrophiles and war wongers who were sadly returned to the Hill. how soon they forget? Nanoseconds.

Those teens and twenty-somethings make such lovely delicious carrion, who look yummy in their Class A's, all pink, and powdered up, their flag draped coffins an inspiration to right thinking Americans and cannibals everywhere.
