So OK, yes, a week or so ago it was 112 when I left work, but that was west coast heat, which just isn't the same as that awful stifling muggy east coast stuff. I was in New York a few weeks ago with temperatures in the 90s; I just can't imagine the Big Apple at 103. Gag.

Today's NY forecast: "Mostly sunny this morning. Then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Hazy. Hot and humid with highs around 103." [Scripting News]
