Good grief So OK, yes, a week or so ago it was 112 when I left work, but that was west coast heat, which just isn't the same as that awful stifling muggy east coast stuff. I was in New York a few weeks ago with temperatures in the 90s; I just can't imagine the Big Apple at 103. Gag. Today's NY forecast: "Mostly sunny this morning. Then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Hazy. Hot and humid with highs around 103." [Scripting News] 8:46:54 PM    Questions? Comments? Flames? []

August: a good month for birthdays Laura's was yesterday; my friend Sandi's is today; and more notable birthdays come up soon enough. So, congratulations to Jared and his User Interface Engineering outfit, which this week reaches its majority, but still can't drink (at least not in California): UIE Turns 18.
