Inflation Adjusted Oil and Gas Prices
Adjusted for inflation, the price of oil peaked in 1980 at $82 a barrel. The inflation-adjusted peak in gasoline prices was $3.01 in the spring of 1981.
Oil imports to China have doubled in the past couple of year. They account for the majority of the increase in oil demand.
