Interesting Stock Ownership Statistics

Common share ownership is approximately 52 percent Institutions and 48 percent Individuals. Yet, 90 percent of the daily trading volume is by institutions.

Individuals tend, on an average, to hold their stocks three years.

I read that in a Better Investing article.

Veterans Day

In my part of the world during my childhood, it was known as Ar-mis'-tus Day.

My Veterans Day---I'm off to my mobile office to do final edits on my IPT grant proposal and to begin editing Week 7 of Grammar Dog.

It's Alaska World Affairs at 12:00 to launch Great Discussions of the Great Decisions series I've agreed to host the second Thursday of the month. We begin December 8th with China.

Then on to Orso's for lunch with a teacher friend, UAA hockey on TV late this afternoon (an away game), and the delivery of my new coffee table---specially made.
