A Great Weekend
Friday---I checked out the arts and crafts weekend event at the Museum. It was the same artisans as last weekend at the Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair at the Eagan Center. However, this weekend the surroundings were much more elegant.
Other than that---Friday and Saturday I spent time just sitting and dinging and doing nothing. I think I'm recovering and switching gears from submitting the final grant proposal to IPT for my Stock Market Game expansion. After submitting it a week ago, I had to reply to seven points stating how the Alaska SMG complied with the IPT guidelines. Of course those guidelines are what I wrote the proposal around, but IPT decided they wanted them up front. I emailed that document Thursday afternoon thinking I was buying time "free from the Grant". Not So---two hours later here came a reply asking for clarification on two of the points. The IPT person must have been escaping after-dinner conversation with his in-laws.
The highlight of the weekend was the Great Alaska Shootout. Thank you, Ski Boy. And thank you, Pooh (son-of-Ski Boy), for having other plans on both Friday and Saturday nights.
Last night's final game was great---Marquette and South Carolina. I was cheering for Marquette but loved watching South Carolina's #34 and 21 move on the court. Marquette won in overtime. This is the second Great Alaska Shootout championship for Marquette. The other was in 2001.
Today it is back to active reality---minus 10 degree weather---and getting ready to teach my mutual fund class Thursday and Friday afternoon/evenings and all day Saturday.
