Home and Its Usual Activities
I had a good and a good productive working week in Seattle. The Executive Manager of the Slingerland Institute and I went through the manuscript I've created from combining the first and second Slingerland text books. The manuscript had just come back from the professional copy editor (she did a marvelous job of dealing with my known inconsistencies and when in doubts-adding-another-subheading).
The new book, The Slingerland Multi-Sensory Approach: A Practical Guide to Teaching Reading, Writing, and Spelling, is well organized and will be every so much easier to use. Combining these two texts has been my main focus since last March. How many, many times I have reread and reworked each paragraph and each page! It now goes to the layout person then to the printer for the first proofs.
