German elite walkers in South Africa

leichtathletik.de - 15.1.2005 - The 1993 IAAF World champion at the Ron Weigel, together with Olympic fifth placer Melanie Seeger and Andreas Erm, which was disqualifiziert with the plays in Athens in the 50-Kilometre walk, flew in this week [^] as last year for a training camp in Dullstroom (South Africa)

Also travelling are Andrè Hoehne (SCC Berlin), Maik Berger and Carsten Schmidt, which start since January 2005 for the sports club potsdam, as well as the young Christoph Brauer (LAC Berlin).

The aim is the beginning of August to the world championships in Helsinki. Ronald Weigel became the first World Champion in the Finnish capital in 1983. Ronald Weigel sees problematic that there are only this the only high point this year. Therefore his wants his athletes to participate in the German champs and also if possible in some competitions of the Grand Prix series.
