From reading I've been saving up until I have time to post:
Guy Kawasaki explains the power of red. Hmmm, maybe I should get some red button-down oxford shirts with the AW logo to wear at conferences--or not.
Publisher and media owner Rex Hammock explains how journalist love numbers, even if they make no sense, and why he discounts them. Finally, someone who agrees with me on that issue. The actual topic was whether magazines are in a decline or not.
Someone who is perhaps a bigger geek than I, Eric Murphy of the OPC blog, thinks about OPC while on vacation.
Famed self-promoter Jason Calacanis explains how to get better PR by firing your PR firm. (probably doesn't work for everyone, but sometimes PR people want to take absolute control of the message including even throttling the CEO, and that usually leads to less than exciting or even damaging results)
A couple of posts from Doc Searles. In the first, he asks if Yahoo is a better search engine than Google. I, too, get frustrated with Google results at times. In the other one, he suggests a better business model for hotels by offering a usable desk and chair for business travellers. Amen.
Here are 5 reasons tech business execs fail. Lack of financial acumen and failure to build a team are a couple.

From my favorite blog with suggestions on living, Zen Habits, 7 Little Habits That Can Change Your Life.
Excerpts from his list:
1. Develop positive thinking (the foundation) 2. Exercise 3. Single-tasking 4. Focus on one goal 5. Eliminate the non-essential 6. Kindness 7. Daily routine
One commenter on the blog added: 1. Carry an idea notebook 2. Plan your week in advance
How well do you stack up? The post includes tips on forming habits if you need help. I do pretty well on the list. I'm working on number 6. I get irritable under stress and need to work on that. Picking up a hobby like refereeing sort of enforces the exercise part ;-)
Speaking of kindness--happy birthday to my daughter. She's probably like me--quit paying attention to them.
