Wow, I just learned that someone that I used to work with lost her husband to a heart attack this morning. My heart is so heavy. Yet another reminder that tomorrow isn't guaranteed. It also puts my small problems into perspective. They really are insignificant. I'm going home and giving my wife a hug.

Hey, I just found out that my wife and I will be going to Seattle on February 9 through 13. We're (well, I am, at least) gonna see Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, and Jim Allchin for the MVP summit. Cool. Anyone got some questions that they'd like me to ask them? That also means that we can see our friend Steve Broback at Avondale Media (which does DVD training for Macintosh OSX users) since he's based in Seattle.

Ahh, looking around Silicon Valley today the weather was awesome. Why? Cause it was chaotic. Some storm clouds. Some sunny spots. Much like my day. I wish I could say more, but then I don't want to pile on the s**t in other people's lives. You ever have days like that? Where you know s**t about s**t and you can't say s**t cause it'd cause s**t?

Thanks to Lora Heiny for sending that along. Lora, do you have a weblog? Oh, she works for ESC Technologies which has cute Linux cartoons here.

Jeff Dunteman used to work for Visual Developer Journal and now keeps a weblog on a variety of topics including 802.11. Interesting stuff -- he's obviously a talented writer, although I don't like the formatting he chose. Too much stuff to scroll through.

Good morning Tablet fans! We just got our production samples. The only five NEC Tablets that exist in the United States are sitting in my neighbor's cube. I have serious techno lust. The kind I haven't had since I first saw Apple's Titanium notebook. Here's a view from ITWeek.
