Scobleizer Weblog

Well, my first 3.5 days at NEC here in Santa Clara have gone well. I'm a sales support manager in the mobile solutions division. In other words, I answer a lot of email from distributors that retailers buy from. "Where's our MobilePro P300's?" is the kind of thing I get to answer.

I'm learning SAP too. It's my first "enterprise" job. Working at a 110-year-old company is quite interesting. They have cool coffee machines here and a real IT department, but I'm already the "expert" on Windows XP. That's a little scary.

I'm still learning my job and reconfiguring my life, so won't get back into the weblogging swing of things for a few more days. I'm trying to use weblogging internally too, to keep my bosses up to date on what I'm doing.

And, no, I can't get you a discount on a PocketPC device.

http://www.neccomp.com/ is our home page. They are already asking what I would do to the site to make it better. One thing I see right away. The page hasn't been optimized for Google. Hmmm.
