Although I've been writing for about 5 years on the web, I can officially pronnounce this weblog 3 years old today. My first [empty] post was made on April 15th 2000, the 16th carried my first real entry. This wouldn't have been possible without UserLand's most excellent software.

My friend and brother David is turning op the heat on his More Fire Jamaican weblog. We're practicing email and blogging every day until I have to leave for home. His nearby village, Hopewell, has one computer "center" that consists of 10 pc's networked through a single 56k dialup.
I'm hoping to meet the owner tomorrow, so we can discuss expanding his offering. I want to make a Manila weblog server available for his customers, as an incentive to get the people of Jamaica blogging. If there ever was a perfect place for a [online] revolution, then this is it.
