Pete just released Renko, an Ipodder equivalent in perl and has this to say: "Honestly, I think NetNewsWire could kick butt in this area, it's a Mac OS X application that could tie directly into iTunes quite easily, and Brent could do it all with a great interface... Brent, you listening?"
I received a pointer via email today from Ed, Assistive Media would be perfect for iPodder distribution. Assistive Media's mission is "to heighten the educational, cultural, and quality-of-living standard for people with disabilities and help achieve independence and become better integrated within the mainstream of society and community life in general."
Certainly a publish/subscribe approach, with automagic transfer to an mp3 device is easier and more extensible than 'play' buttons on a website. Ofcourse that may have something to do with their licenses of the material.
It wouldn't surprise me if there were some grants waiting to be tapped for technological improvements for media distribution for peopel with disabilities. Nice that everyone can benefit from these improvements.
