JY's Weblog

Useful Interfaces "There is the one called McDonalds - you give them money, they give you food. Then there is the one called FedEx - you give them a package and money, they get the package to the guy you were sending it to. "

Doc: "JY has a doppelblog". Of course I have! But eh, wait, what is a doppel?! I'm reaching my english limits here!! :-)

yes, but 20 02 2002 will be much better, and more palindromic!

I searched for JY's weblog in Google to find the one on radio.weblogs.com (this one!). What do I find? Another site with the same name as mine. I wondered "eh! who is the unoriginal one who has taken the same weblog name as mine?!". I followed the link and found that he was....... me. huh ?! It was one of the test sites during the beta launch of Radio. Yes, I know, I'm stupid.

Daydream

The Lovin' Spoonful (?)

What a day for a day dream,
What a day for a day dreamin' boy.
And I'm lost in a day dream,
Dreamin' 'bout my bundle of joy.
And even if time ain't really on my side,
It's one of those days for taking a walk outside.
I'm blowing the day to take a walk in the sun,
And fall on my face in somebody's new mowed lawn.

I've been havin' a sweet dream,
I've been dreamin' since I woke up today,
It's starring me in my sweet dream,
'Cause she's the one that makes me feel this way,
And even if time is passin' me by a lot,
I couldn't care less about the dues you say I got.
Tomorrow I'll pay the dues for dropping my load.
A pie in the face for being a sleepy bull toad.

And you can be sure that if you're feelin right
A day dream will last a long time into the night.
Tomorrow at breakfast you may prick up your ears,
Or you may be dreamin' for a thousand years.

Users Decide First; Move Second: "Designers use interactive design elements, such as fly outs, rollovers, and dropdowns, to conserve space, make the screen less cluttered, and enhance the users' experience. We were surprised when users succeeded more often when they didn't encounter these design elements than when they did."

The Customer Sieve: "When we watch shoppers focusing on buying a product, we can clearly see each stage and when the transitions fail or succeed. By understanding the stages and how they work, we can learn a lot about building better sites."
