Financial Times reporter's new Weblog
Louise Kehoe, the California-based senior technology reporter for the Financial Times, has started a Weblog about the high-tech scene. That's right up my alley so I'll be a regular reader. She likes Weblog because of, among other things, the interactivity with readers.
Indeed, smart journalists will learn they can be better journalists through interaction. Every journalist should have his/her e-mail address on every article on the Web. I feel sorry for journalists who are "afraid" to get reader comments.
Also, with the implementation of 802.11 access in convention centers, hotels and other public places, it will become increasingly important for journalists to post information fast. Wireless LANs will increase the pace for journalism. Weblogs are a great way to put a human face on your writing.
Oh -- Louise was also nice enough to say some pleasant things about my Weblog (which is practically identical to the one you're reading now!) and my separate Reiter's Block column.
