i've been staring at this dad-blamed pair of machines for way too long now. off to read something calming and relaxing ...

for the moment, this design passes the css 2.0 validator. i put the link at the bottom for braggin' rights ...

if we could finagle 'alt' tags for the permalink and archive graphics, and a 'text/javascript' inside the javascript tag, i could achieve 100% HTML 4.01 Transitional with this design. AND i believe i need just a couple of little tweaks to get CSS 1.0 validation.    Still working on it.
