Blog Entry Categories I came up with the idea of categorizing my various blog entries the other day with the idea that I could use Greymatter's search capabilities to pull up pages of like categories. This evening I discovered a blog by Mark Paschal that does just that but in a more elegant fashion. I think he creates his weblog using Radio Userland and perhaps a custom system. He's also come up with a cool tool for Radio called Stapler that "creates RSS feeds from sources you select, scraped hourly" which I'm looking forward to trying down the road. 11:33:00 PM     New Mac Stores MacCentral has a great story on the grand opening of the new Apple Store in California. I'm excited about these stores, but from what I've heard they're going to have to sell a lot of computers to break even because of their pricey locations. I'll be curious to hear a review of the Apple store in New York after Damien gets a chance to check it out. 10:43:00 PM     Mariners M's lose to Yanks 10-14 Ichiro is now up to 23 consecutive games with a hit. And next month could be even better than this one. "Not that April and May have been too shabby for the Seattle Mariners' hitting machine, but during Ichiro's run of seven straight batting titles in Japan, June was his "hot" month. Except for 1999, when he struggled through the month batting .306, he batted over .400 four times, including a .423 (33-for-78) average last season. He also batted .451 (37-for-82) in 1998, .413 (33-for-80) in '97 and .460 (40-for-87) in '94." 11:08:00 AM     Shrek Mary and I caught an evening showing of Shrek last night. Plot-wise it was pretty formulaic, but I enjoyed all the amusing fairy-tale and movie references (my favorite being Fiona going Trinity on Robin and his Merry Men). And the computer generated visuals were very impressive of course. Now I'm really looking forward to Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within the next big CGI movie of the summer. 10:18:00 AM
