FireWire2GoIt turns out that FireWire2Go is supported by MacOS X out of the box. While I can't burn any CD's on the Sony FireWire burner I have here at work, I was able to plug it in and mount a CD without any problems. Now I'll have to give iMovie a try tonight when I get home and see if I can capture some clips from tape.

MacOS X WaveLan Wireless card supportThe forums over at MacNN offer instructions on getting Lucent WaveLan cards working under MacOS X. It's pretty cool to see the power of Open Source Software manifesting itself in this way. Hopefully we'll see a lot more device drivers within the next month after the release of MacOS X 10.1 as well. FireWire PC Card support and Compact Flash PC Card support are really the main two things I need at this point that MacOS X doesn't offer. I expect Apple to come through on the latter, but I may be in trouble on the former unless some kind of Open Source solution presents itself since Newer is no longer in business.
