OBsolete PowerMac 8500? Well, I'd finally decided that my 8500/G3.275 was too obsolete to really give to my father, so I started trying to do something useful with it, and I've just been setting it up running Mac OS X, thanks to the very spiffy tool XPostFacto. I've been really surprised at how well the 8500 has been handling Mac OS X, especially since the Voodoo3 card I had in it doesn't work, so I'm running off built-in video. It will make a fine replacement for the 7100 I've been using as a firewall/File server/router for the past 2-3 years. In fact I'll actually USE the 8500 as a fileserver. (The 7100 has like a 230MB hard drive :))

Untitled. I was on the phone today with an editor, and the following sequence of events happened:

- I proposed the book I want to write - She screamed in pain - The phone line went dead

She called me right back and said that she'd banged her knee against the desk and then the battery on her phone died, but I have to wonder. [Backup Brain]

It's just funny, and I needed to update.

Side note: I've been formatting articles like this for a while and now I'm wondering if it would make more sense to reverse it. ie: Have the reference stuff (above in regular lettering) be formatted like my comments are currently formatted, and have my comments in "regular" fonts/format. Mmmm.
