Neighborhood activism at work.
The San Jose Mercury News had an article this morning discussing the Environmental Impact Report filed for San Jose State's Master Plan update. I helped review the EIR for my neighborhood association and we had lots of negative comments on the document.
San Jose State's primary response to the comments was to drop a major portion of the plan. As a result many of the negative impacts of proposed Master Plan were reduced. While we still have concerns and need to remain vigilant, it is nice to know that we can a difference.
