Secede!. [ via Cyn G. ] Is it time to reinvent Alta California? [More Like This WebLog] While this looks enticing, newcomers to California will not understand the problems with this. You cannot simply cut California out of the rest of the US. You must first remove California from the US., and then split it north and south. Northern and Southern California are two different beasts. We think different. We vote different. They steal our water. We steal their oil. Alta-Norte California is the place to be. Make the dividing line at Ventura. We get a little oil, they get a little water. We might even be trade partners. Alta-Sur is for everyone who thinks they know what California is about. Alta-Sur is for DisneyLand and their California Adventure, it's for the Angels and the american league, and it's for copyright protection. The only problem with the Alta-Norte, Alta-Sur divide is that we will be at war 6 months after we are liberated from the rest of the US. 1:58:11 PM     Comment []

Eureka, the serverMonitor is finally working! I finally understand what is going on with the serverMonitor tool. I have been frustrated by this tool from the start. Initially, I was only getting partial reports from my servers. Then I realized that I needed to use xml-rpc to get full reports from Frontier servers. But even that didn't seem to work well. I was getting errors and emails when I knew that the servers were running. Then, tonight I realized that I needed to have the serverMonitor tool running on the server that I wanted to get data from (to use the xml-rpc interface) as well as the querying server. A small but important piece that was missing from the documentation. Things are finally running as they should and I am starting to get good data on my servers. 2:20:08 AM     Comment []
