dsl woes

So, my DSL was out last night and this morning. It's always jarring to lose connectivity after having a constant net connection since I got a cable modem in 1997. The longest outage was when @Home went dark over a year ago -- I was without a connection for a month.

And then there's the weird feeling that perhaps I shouldn't be so reliant on the connection.

What can I say. I love connectivity.
