I'm addicted to This American Life. I heard the story about the USPS Dead Letter Office and have been hooked ever since.

They put out this limited edition comic book that did a really good job talking about putting together a show for radio, and was entertaining to boot. The reason I think it did a good job is because the other effect is that I've been drawn to the idea of doing a story like they do, just for me, just for kicks.

Seems I'm not the only one who had that thought. In the FAQ section of the This American Life web site, they point to a website called Transom, which talks about making radio like This American Life, about technique, about gear. That's dangerous to me. I'm also addicted to gear.

There's a lot of good stuff on Transom. Some really good independent work as well. Check it out.
