launching into the holiday season

This is the point of the year where everything seems to pile up. My wife's birthday is 4 days before Christmas, so things are even more piled up than normal.

I stress about what's going to happen at Thanksgiving (not so much this year, we got it planned out early), what I'm going to do for my wife's birthday, will I have enough budget left over after the birthday to do something nice for Xmas (without shortchanging the birthday)...

And then after all that passes, there's New Year's, which begins the season where I get to stress about taxes.

Oh, and I get to stress about the application release that's looming at work.

Okay, I'll stop obsessing.
