I saw "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" last week on DVD, and was blown away.

Today I get a call from my wife, who has learned the The Funk Brothers (see the link) will be playing at the Moore Theatre tonight. I ran down to the box office, and was able to get tickets!

So I'm going to see some legends on stage tonight. I can't wait.

On the other hand, I'm a little disappointed that the show wasn't sold out. I mean, I'm happy to be able to go, but come on -- these guys aren't getting any younger. Ya gotta get out there and see them!

(Yeah, the quote that titles this post is not a Motown quote. But George Clinton would certainly approve, I think.)
