NLII Learning Spaces Focus Session @ MIT
I just got back from the NLII Fall Focus session on designing learning spaces. The one and a half day session was packed full of information on how learning spaces at higher education institutions should be designed, taking into account the goals for the spaces. Many discussions on 'How People Learn' (essential reading for educators) helped to shape the session. One of the highlights of the trip was a tour of five learning spaces at MIT including the stunning Stata Hall. Another highlight was the session led by Bill Mitchell of the MIT Media Lab. Coincidentally, this video of Bill Mitchell and others just came out: 'The Univeristy as Patron of Cutting Edge Architecture'. 2:38:46 PM | # | | trackback []
