I agree.  The conference did have a slant towards .NET.  I don't think Chris planned it that way -- I think it's more indicative of MS' ability to get their stuff into the hands of influential developers.  They've always been very effective at this.  It's good that Sam is getting involved.  IBM (and Sun too) could do much more to promote their tool sets.
