I'm starting to get into Instant Outlining.  I'm finding that it's more natural for me to use my outline than to use my blog.  I'm not a natural writer by inclination, or given to making public statements of opinion.  Most of my thoughts these days are devoted to my company, and aren't appropriate for public disclosure (yet).  OTOH, of course I have other thoughts as well, but for these a blog doesn't usually feel right -- it seems somehow more formal and/or permanent, and an outline, which is structured, free-form, and constantly mutable all at the same time, feels much more appropriate.  So it seems likely that I will be editing my outline much more often then posting to my blog.

Thanks to Dave to putting all this stuff out there.  A co-worker just made the observation that Dave is kinda like an Open Source guy, but is really an Open Idea guy.  I agree.
