It's Like Déjà Vu All Over Again
"You could probably waste an entire day on the preceding links alone. But why take chances? We also give you Paul Snively..." — John Wiseman, lemonodor
But back to RCS... why clone RCS when there is one that works and costs, er, nothing last time I checked? I'd rather see people experiment with alternatives to RCS. Who's to say RCS is the right way to do it, or that there even is one right way? [Patrick Logan's Radio Weblog]
Well, if the API is published, then it might be an interesting exercise. It would also make the RCS functionality available on platforms that don't run Frontier or Radio Userland. I'd applaud that.
I'd even considered implementing Instant Outlining using JavaGroups and the Swing tree view, just for grins. Sometimes "just for grins" is the best reason to write software, even if it is just an API knock-off!

OK, I'm using Jon Udell's macro to list my subscriptions. Very neat!
But... blargh! There's so much more to do: must learn RssDistiller so I can blogroll stuff without feeds, like McCusker's site and lemonodor. *sigh*
