It was a beautiful day today.  Sunny and clear if a little cool, a beautiful winter's day.  I spent some time outside in the yard with the leaves from the big oaks that provide such wonderful shade during those hot summer months.  There was a great woodsy smell from the fires in the fireplaces around the neighborhood, the sun was shining, and the egrets were out hunting lizards while I was bagging up leaves.  When I think about the weather here sometimes I think I live in paradise.

This morning I thought about trying to make some cappuccino with the old Krups that's been in the cupboard since that time Cindy tried making it and the thing exploded and we were washing coffee grounds off the ceiling.  I actually got the thing out and started to set it up when I noticed the old Bodum French (freedom) pressed coffee maker.  I opted for pressed coffee only because it provided the minimum cleaning required of all the coffee makers I have.  Chelsey on the other hand went for the Strawberry Banana smoothy, to chase down another round of fireplace smores.  So far the smores kit is one of the most used Christmas gifts this year.

Things that make me happy seem to be beautiful weather, yummy food and spending some lazy Sunday afternoon time with my daughters.  Now if the Packers can just hold the Eagles here in overtime it will have been a perfect Sunday :)
