New Scientist  "Defective" cigarette filters hidden for 40 years, claim scientists"

"These fibres are known to be coated in tumour promoters, carcinogens and a diverse range of toxins," he told New Scientist. "These toxins are being delivered on a non-degradable matrix. That is ample cause for concern."

Ok.. first i thought i just had nothing to say today.. then i read this claim about how people were not told about the dangers of cigarette filters. what nonsense!

ok, i smoke. about 10 hand-rolled cigarettes per non-suit day.. and maybe 8 hand-made shermans per suit-day. When I first started to smoke I was told by people that it was the filters that would puncture my lungs and that I should stay with natural tobacco and away from pre-fabs.

smoking is a trance-anchor for me... (i love the better labeling/discernment about inner states that i got out of this weekend) and i use it to mark some introspective spaces. its bad for me in general to smoke but i'm ok with the indulgence and simplicity of it right now.

i just want to log this because i for one knew/know that filters in cigarettes are bad news for the smoker. its not like you could not know these facts in germany when i first started doing this a disgustingly long 22 years ago. anyway, that's my 22*52*7/5*$4.. or 640,640 cents on this.
