His Hipness "Just remember that what he says does make sense in its own strange and unique way." There's a new biography of Lord Buckley out, and the author hopes it will start a Lord Buckley revival. So do it, but I'm afraid the man is too idiosyncratic, maybe he goes against cultural tendencies too much (in Dylan's phrase about the Mississippi Sheiks) to get anywhere today. The biography makes great reading, not least because of the wide variety of voices presented in it, everyone from Larry Storch to Ed Sullivan and way, way, beyond are represented in the book. It also comes with a nice CD of some of Buckley's best.

Harlan Ellison's Kick Lawsuit: An essay on Locus online by Philip Shropshire about Harlan Ellison's suit against AOL and a host of other. Ellison contents that :

AOL, REMARQ/CRITICAL PATH AND A HOST OF SELF-SERVING INDIVIDUALS SEEM TO THINK THAT THEY CAN ALLOW THE DISSEMINATION OF WRITERS' WORK ON THE INTERNET WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, AND WITHOUT PAYMENT, UNDER THE BANNER OF "FAIR USE" OR THE IDIOT SLOGAN "INFORMATION MUST BE FREE."... WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT IS THE DEATH OF THE PROFESSIONAL WRITER!"  (http://harlanellison.com/kick/)

Quite a bunch of reactionary text, the capslock is from the original, and gives some idea of how much Ellison (or whoever prepared the text) really knows abotu the medium.
