Weekly column: White House appears soft on Microsoft's security [Politech]

The article fails to address two more important points. First, what business is Microsoft's security (or anyone elses) of the White House? And second, why would anybody in their right mind listen to anything the Federal government says about security anyway? That's a perfect example of asking the fox to guard the henhouse.

The terrorists thought liberty made us weak. They were dead wrong. [OpinionJournal]

This editorial is based on a false premise. In fact the terrorists knew that liberty makes people strong. That's why they chose to attack using the aspect of American life which had been most deprived of liberty. By hijacking airplanes, they did not attack a free America, but Communist North Korea or Nazi Germany.

In fact, from the actions they've taken since the attacks, it is painfully clear that the Federal government thinks that liberty makes us weak, and they are determined to "strengthen" the country by depriving us of as much liberty as they can manage.
