Powell, Egyptians Disagree on Arafat [AP World News]
Arafat is the leader of the Palestinian people, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher said at a joint news conference with Secretary of State Colin Powell. "We continue to recognize him as the leader of the Palestinian people," Maher said.
That's not too surprising, since Arafat is actually Egyptian himself.

The price of gold continues to increase (or perhaps it's more accurate to say that the dollar continues to fall). It's back over $350/ounce now.
